Friday to be printed by Image Comics

Ed Brubaker and Marcos Martin’s Panel Syndicate series Friday will be getting a print release from Image Comics as Friday, Volume One: The First Day Of Christmas at the start of November 2021.

Friday tells the story of Friday Fitzhugh a former child detective and sidekick to Lancelot Jones. But that was a long time ago, now Friday is a college student just trying to move on with her life. Now when she comes home for the holidays she’s pulled back into her childhood friend’s investigation of some strange goings on in their little New England town, leading to the Christmas vacation from Hell.

Vault Deluxe Hardcovers coming out way?

Though there’s not a lot of detail connected to this yet Damian Wassel (Vault’s Publisher) has hinted on Twitter that Deluxe Hardcovers are in the making.

Considering most of us at Bigger Than Capes are very into Deluxe Hardcovers and the comics Vault make this is something we’re pretty excited about.

Paper Girls: The Complete Story

Brian K. Vaughan and Cliff Chiang’s series Paper Girls will be getting the Image compendium treatment later this year (the end of October to be exact). So if you haven’t checked out the series yet maybe a single thirty issue paperback is the format for you?

Paper Girls follows four twelve-year-old newspaper delivery girls from the year 1988 who uncover the most important story of all time. Suburban drama and otherworldly mysteries collide in this critically acclaimed series about nostalgia, first jobs, and the last days of childhood.

NICE Comic Con announces plans to return in 2022

Pretty much exactly what it says in the headline, NICE will be returning to Bedford in 2022 the weekend of the 3rd & 4th of September.

It’s one of our preferred conventions within the UK and well worth checking out if you haven’t been in the past.
