Review: Lower Decks #1

This plays to that cheeky nostalgia Lower Decks does so well. I had a great time reading it. The art successfully translates the animation and the writing means rereads are rewarded. If you are a fan of Lower Decks already then this is the comic for you. If you are not then hopefully this comic may change your mind.

Review: Hellcop #6

“This is a really strong start to the second arc. Now the setup has been established it feels like more fun can be had in the universe and this certainly takes some classic concepts like Sasquatch and runs with it. It’s still got a fresh feel but it also has the benefit of strongly established characters and a distinct voice and tone which really works. I’m very much onboard for the next part of the Hellcop ride.”

Review: Everfrost #4

“It is quite emotional to see the final solution to this world. If you have any attachment to these characters you will find that there might well be a tear shed at the end. I will say it’s not a sad ending per se. There is some sadness but there is also hope and it is nice to see that break through since Everfrost hasn’t had a lot of hope in many respects, such is the nature of the world. You feel there’s victory in the air and that’s good.”
