Review: Time Before Time #12
“This was another great look into the world of Time Before Time.”
“This was another great look into the world of Time Before Time.”
“This is a really strong start to the second arc. Now the setup has been established it feels like more fun can be had in the universe and this certainly takes some classic concepts like Sasquatch and runs with it. It’s still got a fresh feel but it also has the benefit of strongly established characters and a distinct voice and tone which really works. I’m very much onboard for the next part of the Hellcop ride.”
“This is just a really good book. I am so invested in this world and these characters.”
“This was a strong finish to the first arc. Not only is it a good conclusion it’s set things up well for the future too.”
“Time Before Time is such an excellent book that the highest praise I can give it is that each issue is as good as the last.”
“It’s not really been about the space race, it’s been about connection, about love and home and hope. In that regards this finale pulls those themes off better than ever before.”
“It is quite emotional to see the final solution to this world. If you have any attachment to these characters you will find that there might well be a tear shed at the end. I will say it’s not a sad ending per se. There is some sadness but there is also hope and it is nice to see that break through since Everfrost hasn’t had a lot of hope in many respects, such is the nature of the world. You feel there’s victory in the air and that’s good.”
“Overall with tension, character revelations, plot advancement plus a three headed dog this is a very satisfying read.”
“This is strong issue. There’s emotion, there’s plot and some great art sequences. Every time Time Before Time impresses me and this issue really did.”
“It’s just an absolutely beautiful and heart wrenching book. It packs an emotional punch and has panels and images that stick with you.”
“The fact that teens all ritualistically pick a single vinyl record which represents and identifies them, speaks to the music-based tribalism that I experienced as a spotty faced teen.”
“Time Before Time #8 just works as another great instalment in what is such a good book right now.”
“It’s a visual feast with wonderfully written characters and the emotion just bleeds through.”
“Overall this final issue of this run is a great finale. It bring together the quality of the writing, art, colouring and lettering we have seen throughout the run.”
“Overall Hellcop is the sci-fi, fantasy, steampunk detective mashup you should be reading.”
“There’s a lot of interesting threads starting out in this second arc and I am looking forward to where they lead.”
